Chris Staley graduated from King High School in 2003 and received a B.S. in Microbiology from USF in 2007. While a member of the Marching Lions, he participated in several honor bands including All-County Band and Orchestra and Quad County Band. Chris became the Marching Lions' first webmaster in the 2000-01 school year and continues to maintain the website. He is currently a Biology PhD student at USF. In 2005, Chris was awarded an undergraduate research fellowship from the American Society for Microbiology and has presented his research at regional and national meetings. He has been assisting the Marching Lions since the 2003-04 school year.
