Talana Hamm

Talana K. Hamm is in her fourth year as director of Vocal Music at King High School in Tampa, Florida. Ms. Hamm holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree from the University of South Florida and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in educational leadership. In addition to her duties as Vocal Music Director, Ms. Hamm serves as co-chair and secretary of the activities committee, is the sponsor of the Theater Technology club and serves as the marching techniques instructor. Ms. Hamm is also involved in district and state capacitates serving as the Hillsborough County All-County Jazz Choir chairperson, the Florida Vocal Association District 7 webmaster and served as co-editor and contributing author of the Hillsborough County Professional Development for Music Educators, secondary level. Most recently Ms. Hamm was named to the 2005 Who’s Who of American Teachers.

Ms. Hamm is an active member of the Florida Vocal Association, MENC: the National Association for Music Educators, Florida Music Educators Association, TI:ME (Technology Institute for Music Education) and is a member of Sigma Alpha Iota, international music fraternity.
